Last Will Email
Just had an idea about a website where you can enter your electronic "last will" messages. You enter a message and an e-mail address to send the message to. But it is not being sent right away. I don't know if it is possible but there should be a connection with the official registries to check for recently perished souls. After you are confirmed *ahem* dead, the service sends all your messages.
Wouldn't it be extra cool to send "I always hated you! You're a complete idiot! And you cannot do a thing about it now Hahaha!!!" to your pointy haired boss?
Or you could e-mail your grand children where you've hidden a treasure.
Or e-mail your server passwords to co-workers.
I'm already getting kicks just out of thinking about my friends' the long faces when they receive post mortem messages from me:
"Hey, Jonas, that's me. It's a big conspiracy. They've buried an empty coffin and keep me captive. I've managed to get access to this computer. Oh God... I think they're coming... I'm at the..........."
I can see a lot of problems with this idea:
1- what if you forgot your password and then changed email and can't access the site when you find out that your cousin who you used to hate has decided to pay your daughter's college fees? Obvisouly that problem only becomes a problem to your daughter and if you die before your daughter finishes college.
2- What is there is a bug int eh software at the Register Office and they send the message before you die? Shit...you will be in trouble!
3- What if someone hacks into your account and adds messages to all sorts of people?
4- What if you forget to update it before you die and forget to send a nasty message to Uncle Bob. Aunt Louise will be really annoyed that only her got a message when Uncle Bob was muh nastier to you!
5- Uhm...thinking about google ads... what sort of ads would google ad in the site:
"Pay your funeral bills before is too late?"
"Come to the church while there is still time?"
